A sketchbook page from Venice and Murano

Last summer, my family and I took a vacation which ended with a ten day sketch booking trip to Venice, Paris and London. My plan was to devote one main sketchbook to the three week trip. Every day would get one two page spread devoted to what we ended up doing that day. I tried to add something everyday while away, but as a tourist and with a family, I knew that I wouldn’t get it done on my trip. Slowly but surely I am completing days and pages from the trip. Here’s the 02 Sep 2014 spread from the day’s events in Venice and Murano.

I love the lampposts, Anya. Also the reddish building along the canal.

    • The lampposts were a great sculpture that were tucked away in a side passageway. We came across it as we were meandering from the glass factory trying to get to an area that was more likely to have food. It was fun to come across such a piece of whimsy. I don’t know if they actually lit up or nor though.
